Boats:

• Safety on Brightwaters is one of the most important agendas on camp. All boat drivers must hold a valid NSW Maritime boat licence and have driven for a minimum of 50 hours
• Safety procedures are documented and signed-off by all leaders and explained to campers at the beginning of camp to ensure everything we do is safety first
• Camp is blessed with a fully qualified doctor as well as a number of nurses. As well as this, qualified First Aid and Bronze Medallion Life Saving certificate holders must be present at all activities.
• Through God’s protection, Brightwaters has never had a serious injury in it’s 40 year-history and the directors and leaders on camp are there to make sure this impeccable safety record continues

Child protection
• Brightwaters takes the protection of its campers extremely seriously. All leaders have signed the NSW Governments child protection documentation to say they have never been charged with an incident relating to child abuse and have been trained in basic child protection.
• All leaders on Brightwaters must complete the Crusaders Leaders Application form. Part of this process includes a number of reference checks by Crusaders.
